What's wrong with this quote from an AP
article today:
However, the three-day old cease-fire appeared to hold in the face of the shootings. If you are as simple minded as me, you are probably wondering how a ceasefire, which means no shooting, can be considered upheld when people are shooting at each other.
The answer is simple- the MSM continues to try and deny the Palestinian Civil War even as they fall over each other to report on the latest person to as much as stub their toe in Iraq.
While every anchor probably envisions himself as the next Walter Cronkite, the man who almost single handedly turned the Vietnam War into a "disaster", being hailed twenty years from now for having the foresight to have stood up to the military and awaken the American public to the reality of our Middle Eastern policies, the Palestinian issue remains sacrosanct, to be handled with kid gloves.
The reason is simple- the Left has adopted the Palestinians as their cause celebre, and the MSM is not going to allow those "poor oppressed "people to be tarnished, not even if it is because of their own bloodthirtiness and greed. For decades the Israelis have been branded the problem in the Middle East, and the Palestinians treated as helpless, innocent victims and that is the way it is going to stay.
And therefore their ceasefire is holding even as they continue to kill one another.
