Oil Dominos Dropping

Hugo Chavez is now dictator of Venezuela, placing just about absolute control of one of the US's major oil suppliers in the hands of a man who hates us and envisions himself the second coming of Castro.  What was ,and should be, a reliable energy source in our own backyard has now become anything but secure, and another arrow has been added to our enemies quiver.

As I posted yesterday, the true danger of the Islamists is their threat to our oil supply. If they can disrupt it , and a nuclear Iran and marauding Al Quaeda are more than capable of that, we can be looking at another Great Depression, and for those who don't know their history, WWII was the GOOD NEWS that finally got us out of that.  Wars require sacrifices and determination, but a major depression is a self feeding paralysis of the economy which comes as close to the abyss as modern society can.

Now with Chavez in total control the noose is tightening further around our necks, and the IslamoFascists know it. While the Liberals attempt to flee back to Fortress America, the Muslims understand our soft belly resides in the sands of Arabia, and that is where they are concentrating.

Some will argue that the Middle Eastern Nations will never cut off supplies because they need money just as much as we need oil. That argument was fine 10 years ago before the Chinese and Indians entered the market. Now there is more demand than supply, and with that inversion we have become the vulnerable party.

There is no military power in the world that can subjugate or defeat us, but we can be brought to our knees by those who control oil. Everyday our enemies get closer to having that power, and while we debate the necessity of winning in Iraq, they  plan for when our tanks are useless because we have no fuel for them.

If we forsake  Iraq we are committing suicide. The sad part is that I don't think the Liberals care.
